  • Condition: Condition: Good-Very Good. The poster has a few minor tears and separations in the border. It has discoloration along portions of the upper folds which is almost restricted to the back only. There is tiny separation in the right edges of the upper two folds and they are backed by restoration tape. It is otherwise in pretty nice condition. The vivid colors and images are excellent. After a simple paperbacking the poster will look absolutely fantastic!

    Vintage original 1957 movie poster insert (14”x36”) for
    “An Affair to Remember”, the classic doomed romance melodrama directed by Leo McCarey and starring
    Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr as the couple who, after meeting on a cruise ship, agree to meet at the top of the Empire State Building in six months time in order to test the strength of their love. Unfortunately, fate intervenes in Leo McCarey's remake of the 1939 "Love Affair." This film was referenced in the film "Sleepless in Seattle." The insert is one of the better format posters from this famous film that is considered one of the greatest tearjerkers of all time.
    This film is ranked #5 on AFI’s 100 Years…100 Passions list. The movie was nominated for 4 Academy Awards and McCarey was nominated for Outstanding Directorial Achievement by the Directors Guild of America (DGA). The artwork in this poster is really wonderful and captures the sentiment of this iconic and much remembered film.
