  • Condition: Very Good to Fine: several tears along the foldlines that were on the outside when the poster was fully folded. Some paper loss at some crossfolds. Staple holes. Surprisingly beautiful condition considering size and age. Most damage is to the one of four parts that was outermost in its folded storage. Lovely & huge 6 sheet poster (81 x 81") with stunning color & vibrancy. I can't find any previous sales records or evidence another one of these 6 sheets has ever come up for sale in recent memory. Great portraits of the three main stars. A true Hollywood treasure from 20th Century Fox. 6 Sheet Poster Classically Measures approx 81 x 81 InchesI measured this as being more like 78.5" wide x 80" tall (assembles into one from four separate sections)

    The Snows of Kilimanjaro
    is a 1952 American Technicolor film based on the short story of the same name by Ernest Hemingway. The film version of the short story was directed by Henry King, written by Casey Robinson, and starred Gregory Peck as Harry, Susan Hayward as Helen, and Ava Gardner as Cynthia Green (a character invented for the film).
    Considered by Hemingway to be one of his finest stories, "The Snows of Kilimanjaro" was first published in Esquire magazine in 1936 and then republished in The Fifth Column and the First Forty-Nine Stories (1938).
    The film was nominated for two Oscars at the 25th Academy Awards, for Best Cinematography, Color and Best Art Direction, Color.
